Deep Oklahoma Roots
Dr. Maune grew up in El Reno, Oklahoma and spent countless hours on his grandparents' farm in Northeast Yukon. His family roots run deep in Bethany, where his great-grandparents farmed the land just across the street from his office and ran a general store near Southern Nazarene University along historic Route 66. This rich heritage shaped his values and commitment to community.
A Scientific Path to Dentistry
Dr. Maune's journey into dentistry is fueled by his extensive background in science and attention to detail, giving him a unique perspective on oral-systemic health. He began his academic adventure at the University of Oklahoma, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Business Administration degree.
He then delved deeper into the world of microbiology, completing a Master’s and Ph.D. in Anaerobic Microbiology before finishing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.
This impressive blend of education and meticulous attention to detail allows Dr. Maune to tackle complex dental cases with a keen understanding of infection, inflammation, and tissue healing.
